Kumo Events Not Appearing

If KumoMTA accepts messages but PING8 analytics do not update, troubleshoot event ingestion.

Check event path

  • KumoMTA can reach the PING8 webhook endpoint.
  • TLS certificate is valid.
  • Webhook secret matches PING8.
  • Firewall allows outbound HTTPS from KumoMTA.
  • PING8 logs do not show webhook security failures.

Check KumoMTA logs

Confirm:

  • Injection occurred.
  • Message ID was assigned.
  • Delivery attempt happened.
  • Event publication happened.

Check PING8 runtime screen

Look at:

  • Webhook accepted count.
  • Duplicate count.
  • Security failures.
  • Dedupe hits.
  • Webhook lag.

Recovery

  1. Do not launch more volume.
  2. Fix event connectivity.
  3. Send one test message.
  4. Confirm PING8 receives the event.
  5. Resume sending gradually.
