Send API templates can enable open and click tracking.

Open tracking

Open tracking uses an image pixel. It depends on the recipient mailbox loading images, so it is directional rather than exact.

Click tracking

Click tracking rewrites links so PING8 can record click events before redirecting the recipient.

Delivery telemetry

Delivery telemetry comes from the selected delivery engine. If KumoMTA is used, confirm webhook lifecycle events reach PING8.

Webhook expectations

If your deployment sends outbound events to another system, confirm:

• Endpoint URL is reachable.
• Signing secret is configured.
• Retry behavior is understood.
• Receiver can handle duplicate events.
