Tags And Segments
Tags create reusable segments inside contact groups.
Create a tag
- Open Marketing > Contacts > Tags.
- Click Add Tag.
- Choose a group.
- Name the tag.
- Save.
Bulk tag
Use Bulk Tag when importing or assigning tags to many recipients.
Use tags in campaigns
In Add Task, select:
- Group.
- Tag logic:
OR,AND, orNOT. - One or more tags.
Tag logic
| Logic | Meaning |
|---|---|
| OR | Recipient has any selected tag. |
| AND | Recipient has all selected tags. |
| NOT | Recipient does not have selected tags. |
Best practices
- Keep tag names stable.
- Use tags for durable segments such as
customer,trial, ornewsletter. - Avoid creating a new tag for every single send.
- Check recipient count before launching.

Success check
Before launching a campaign, confirm the visible recipient count matches the audience you expect. If the count is too high or too low, fix tag assignments before sending.
